Whew! I’m finally coming up for air following the holidays and a post-holiday vacation, and now it’s time to get to work! While on vacation, I decided that I wasn’t going to make any resolutions this year. Rather, I’m creating a “theme” for 2012, and the theme is simplify. I realized while away that we have SO much stuff in our homes that we don’t really need, and all they do is clutter our homes and clutter our minds. So, I’m saying “so long” to the excess stuff and attempting to live more simply this year. Be sure to follow along and see how I do!

We are also following this theme. Mr. Cookeez and I have already gone through our bedroom, bathroom and cluttered closets. I most recently did our basement “back room” and plan on getting to my work closet this week, although dread is kicking in on that one-it’s a lot to organize with packaging and props and displays, uhhhh.
I felt a weight get lifted after we finished and now after 1 week of living in our simplistic areas, I am much calmer and more organized. Now to keep it going…..
