Last year, I planned a baby shower for my sister before my nephew was born. For a party favor, I made individual mixed berry pies. They were so simple and tasty, and would make a great addition to your 4th of July entertaining.
Simply fill the small Mason jars with fresh or frozen berries, and top with a pie crust. You can use homemade or store-bought, either one will work just fine. I used the top of the jar as a template and it made the process go much faster. Then bake at 350 until the crust is golden and the fruit is warm and bubbly. (Sorry, I don’t remember exactly how long I baked them…just keep an eye on it!)
See?? They look cute, and pie is always perfect for the 4th of July. What’s more American than pie?
