It’s not too early to start sharing pumpkin recipes, is it?? Even though our thermometer is closing in on 100 degrees, I’m dreaming of fall leaves and cooler weather. So, I decided to update my recipe for Birthday Cake Popcorn (our most popular post ever) for fall!

I made this recipe similarly to the Birthday Cake Popcorn. I popped the popcorn on the stove. While the popcorn was popping, I melted 4 squares of the vanilla CandiQuik. Once it was properly melted, I added 1 tablespoon of pumpkin and 1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. When the popcorn was ready, I drizzled the chocolate/pumpkin mix over the top, mixed it up, and THEN salted the popcorn. This way the salt sticks to the popcorn and gives a yummy salty/sweet combination!
I then added sprinkles, because everything’s better with sprinkles. I wish I’d had some orange and black jimmies, but since I didn’t orange, black, and green sugar sprinkles would have to do…and did quite nicely!

After that, I put the popcorn in the bowl in the fridge to allow it to set a bit. Be warned, because of the pumpkin in this recipe, the chocolate’s not going to set up as firmly as it would otherwise…but trust me, it’s still good.
It’s still very, very good…and you’ll want to try it!
Enjoy!
