More Fall Tablesetting Ideas

This year, I’ve been big into decorating with lots of whites and shades of white, but every now and then, you’ve got to add a pop of color for a bit of interest.  I’ve always wished that I could have several sets of silverware with the different colored handles that could be changed out from season to season.  But, since that would be a costly addition, I decided to try wrapping embroidery floss around my silverware, and the result is really cute!

Obviously, this isn’t something you’d want to do for everyday purposes…can you imagine how difficult it would be to wash them?? But, for a special evening, or when your entertaining, it could be a fun twist on the ordinary.

Think of other items that you could use instead of the embroidery floss, the possibilities are endless!

  • baker’s twine
  • ribbon
  • lace
  • twine
  • burlap
  • yarn

You could do this on your everyday silverware, but also, how cute would it be to do this for a kids birthday party? You could wrap string around your everyday, inexpensive plastic cutlery for some added interest!

I hope you’ll have fun giving this little project a try, and thinking outside the box with your tablescape decorating!
