Since you’ve made your way to my “about” page, it’s obvious you want to learn a little bit more about me and what I do, most likely to decide if you want to follow me/work with me. If it’s technical stuff like that you’re looking for, rest assured, I’ll get to that in a second. But first of all, I want to thank you a million times for stopping by here in the first place. Whether you’re a business, a reader, or a potential follower, I’m glad you’re here. Seriously…super, duper glad you’re here.
If you follow along with me, you’ll learn that I like to chat about all things related to food. I’ll share recipes, beautiful kitchen designs, tips and tricks that will helpful for the home cook, as well as beautiful food photography. I love to share my love of all things food with my readers and am blessed to say that they’ve been able to teach me so much in return.
Now, on to the technical stuff…………..
Carrie Harris is the editor/publisher of A SWEET SPOT: HOME the blog and A SWEET SPOT: HOME Magazine. After leaving her career in Human Resources to stay at home with a new baby, Carrie loved to find different ways to fulfill her love for all things creative. When her daughter was a toddler, the two of them would head off to a family run flower shop where Carrie would work as a floral designer. After the birth of her son, and with two kids 4 and under, Carrie had to search for a different way to satisfy the creative itch. This eventually led to her starting her blog in 2010 (known then as The Sweet Spot Candy Bar), where Carrie shared her love of all things sweet with her readers. As her readership grew and evolved, she decided to rename her site A SWEET SPOT: HOME and broaden the scope of her blog. While The Sweet Spot Candy Bar focused mainly on baking and candy, A SWEET SPOT: HOME focused predominately on food and food photography, still with a strong emphasis on baking and sweets. Since launching in May, 2011, readership for A SWEET SPOT: HOME has steadily grown and Carrie has been blessed with many opportunities. In January, 2013, Carrie began work on A SWEET SPOT: HOME Magazine, a quarterly digital magazine that serves as a companion to A SWEET SPOT: HOME the blog. A SWEET SPOT: HOME Magazine focuses on recipes, entertaining ideas, and of course, beautiful food photography.
In addition to running her blog and online magazine, Carrie is currently working on plans for a food/entertaining book and is also available for freelance food photography projects. For further information on working with Carrie on either project, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
