Well, my first simplifying project has been completed…and I’m feeling better already! Since I don’t want to get overwhelmed with this process, I’m taking it slowly, one project at a time.

My first project was to clean out the drawers of my coffee table. Amazingly enough, I was able to throw away/recycle 90% of what these drawers contained. I was left with some old copies of my Martha Stewart magazines and some of my kid’s stuff.
The magazines were headed to my craft room until I decided to part with them and send them to the recycle bin, too. I mean, honestly, was I ever going to look at them again? And if I was, was I going to look at them regularly?? Definitely not, so they had to go.
I now have 2 completely empty drawers in my living room that can be used as storage…once I figure out what I want to store in them!
Challenge #1, completed! Why don’t you take this challenge, too, and clean out a drawer or two in your home? I promise, it won’t take long, and you’ll feel better once you’ve done it! After you’re done, leave me a comment and let me know what you did…let’s all simplify together!
