It’s wedding season! This season, here’s a little advice…

Sparkle girl, sparkle!

A Craspedia Post from Melissa

I am absolutely loving this gorgeous post from Melissa about Craspedia.  What a perfect idea for decorating weddings and parties!

I’m a flowers kinda gal and currently have a little crush on Billy Balls, aka craspedia. They have such a cheerful disposition (insert a Mary Poppins smile). Yellow is one of my favorite colors and Billy Balls are perfect for Spring and Summer festivities… Weddings, Events, Bouquets, Home Decor, Dinner Parties, and so much more. They are so versatile and that’s why I love them. Here is a small collection of Billy Balls from around the web looking their best.

Color Love from Melissa – Blue & Green

I’m completely in love with this post that Melissa from Truly Chic Inspirations did…the colors are soooooo breathtaking! Where was all this gorgeousness when I got married, I ask you?!?!?

Like many, I try to follow the current trends. Color trends are something that usually compliments the season but there are many color combos that can be produced regardless of the season, location, or venue.

*Insert my love for blues and greens joining forces.*

The Blue/Green combo is slightly southern, elegant, and fun. I also love that this color combo can be displayed in any shade- navy with hunter green, bright blue and bright green, or even a mixture of the tones.

Glitter, Glitz, and Glamour from Melissa!

I’m excited to share that my Entertaining Contributor, Melissa is back with a post that shares her love for all things glittery…because who doesn’t love a little glitter??

Table Display. Glitter Tape. Cake. Tassel Garland.

Glitter, Glitz & Glamour seem to be all the rage and I don’t think these ‘special touches’ are going anywhere… ever. From small amounts of glitz to glitter overload, either way it calls for one fun party. Think outside of the box because glitter isn’t just for New Year’s Eve, why not make it a part of every occasion?

Thanks so much for sharing, Melissa!

Hunger Games Inspired Party Ideas

Have you read The Hunger Games series?? If not, I HIGHLY suggest you pick up a copy…and if you buy the first book, make sure you buy the other two.  You’ll want to have them on hand so you can immediately jump from one book to the next! Today, my friend and Entertaining Contributor Melissa of Truly Chic Inspirations is sharing her ideas for a Hunger Games inspired party to celebrate the release of the movie, coming out on March 23rd!

With the Hunger Games movie premier right around the corner it’s time to start thinking Hunger Games party! I put together a collage of party inspiration…. I LOVE the idea of decorating with arrows, dandelions are a must, and of course having the books on display would be ideal. The new Hunger Games nail polish line gives great inspiration for party colors. ‘Real or not real’ cookies and cards are adorable and help bring in a touch of Peeta, wink wink. The food could be such fun for a Hunger Games party. Burnt bread, cookies, pies, and adding food coloring are just a few fun food options. So who’s ready to celebrate?

Let the games begin!
